On Wednesday 9/20/2023 Zach and Savannah Cummins received the worst news possible for a parent. At 38 weeks, their daughter, Emma Jay, no longer had a heartbeat. She was born asleep in the arms of Jesus the next day at 2:46 pm.

Zach and Savannah were touched and given peace by the kindness of everyone in the hospital and the community, and were moved to want to do something to help other parents in the same situation. So, they decided to start the Emma Jay Foundation.

Zach and Savannah plan to setup the Emma Jay Foundation to help parents going through the unthinkable and help provide a funeral the child deserves. While Zach and Savannah are fortunate enough to be able to afford the funeral Emma Jay deserves, they also know many families cannot, which makes a hard time even harder.
